As part of my research at GaTech, I do a lot of work in the cleanrooms. We have a big program here in chip fabrication and nanotech stuff. Unfortunately, I have never had the time or money to take one of their microfabrication short courses. I just tie up their profilometers for hours on end (over night so I’m less of a pain). But the etching and fabrication stuff is constantly going on all around me.

The cleanrooms have all sorts of fun (dangerous) chemicals they work with. We get some interesting safety e-mails.
