The Debris Of War

The Arts Mechanical

WW1 was a true mess.  The amounts of shellfire boggled the mind.  The problem is that not very shell went boom, instead burying themselves in the dirt, to be found later.  Because the explosives can be unstable and in the case of chemical shells, still lethal, the French have red zones along the trench lines where it’s still unsafe to go 100 years after the war ended.
