One of the plot point surrounds an automaton that the boy is trying to repair. Now I assumed that the automaton was just another computerized movie effect with no reality behind it. Just another movie fantasy. I turns out that I was wrong. The automaton was real and furthermore automata like the one in the movie really existed as masterworks of their creators, seemingly life in the machine, running on cams.
